AI agents can write the code. They can't see if the board is working.

Crouton gives your AI assistant live eyes on your actual circuit. It can see what's connected, what's powered, and what's wrong. No more guessing.

  1. Meet Crouton

A breadboard with live circuit visibility.

Same form factor, same hole pitch as the breadboard you already know, with 64-channel sensing, receive-only WiFi and BLE observability, and a built-in MCP server that puts all of it in your agent’s context.

  2. Breadboard surface

The interface your hands already know.

Plug in your microcontroller, sensors, and jumper wires exactly as you normally would. No new tools, no special wiring. Crouton is a standard 0.1" pitch breadboard that also reads the circuit.

  3. Intelligence layer

The sensing layer your agent talks to.

Custom hardware monitors every node in real time: voltage and continuity across 64 channels, streamed to your machine over USB-C. A local MCP server exposes that live state to Cursor, Claude, Copilot, or any MCP-compatible agent.

  4. Radio layer

Proof your radio is actually on air.

Firmware that compiles and a device that is transmitting are two different claims. Crouton watches WiFi and BLE alongside the board, so your agent can tell whether the thing you just flashed is really advertising, which addresses it sees, and at what signal strength. It listens only. It never transmits.

How it works

Breadboard to agent context, in real time.

01

Plug in

Standard pitch, your usual wiring.

02

The board reads itself

Voltage and continuity, 64 channels.

03

And it listens

WiFi and BLE, receive-only.

04

Your agent sees it

Live state over USB-C, via MCP.

Everyone starts on a breadboard.
Everyone gets stuck on one.

Your first circuit or your fiftieth board, the problem is the same: you cannot see what the board is doing. Neither can your AI.

Students

Get unstuck on a lab project in minutes, not hours.

Makers and hobbyists

Weekend project to working prototype, without the guesswork.

First-time builders

Your first circuit, without needing to own an oscilloscope.

Embedded engineers

Fault localisation from live state instead of inference.

Hardware startups

Cut bring-up time without a full hardware team.

Research labs

Continuous monitoring for sensor arrays and test rigs.
