Preorder terms

A preorder reserves one Crouton v1 board per unit ordered from our first production run. Crouton is still in development. You are paying now for hardware that does not exist yet, and you should treat that as a real risk before ordering.

$99.00 AUD per board, charged in full when you place the order. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. No GST is charged.

Australian orders are expected to ship in Q4 2026. Orders to every other country are expected to ship within 12 months of the Australian release. Both are our honest estimate based on the current build, not a guarantee.

Australia ships first because that is where Crouton is certified. Crouton contains a radio, so shipping into other markets depends on the radio approvals for those markets being granted. That is the main thing that could move the international date.

If the date moves, we will email everyone who has ordered, tell you the new window and why, and you can take a full refund at that point for any reason. We will not quietly let the date slip.

You can cancel for a full refund at any time before your board ships. Email us and we will refund the full amount to your original payment method. You do not need to give a reason.

After your board arrives, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in the usual way, including for faulty goods. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights. If you are buying from outside Australia, any consumer rights you have under your own country's law apply in addition to these terms, not instead of them.

We ship to Australia and to 26 other countries, listed at checkout. Shipping within Australia is included in the price. Everywhere else is a flat $35.00 AUD per order, however many boards it contains.

Orders are sent from Australia. Any import duty, VAT, GST or customs charge raised by the destination country is payable by the recipient, and is not included in the price or the shipping fee.

We collect your shipping address at checkout. If you move before dispatch, email us and we will update it.

If we are unable to ship Crouton v1 at all, every preorder is refunded in full. Preorder funds are used to complete development and manufacturing, so a refund in that situation may take time to process, but the obligation stands.
