Debug hardware with AI.

Crouton is a breadboard that shows your AI agent what's connected, powered and wrong, so it can find the fault instead of guessing.

The Crouton breadboard, with its USB-C ports
What does it cost?
$99.00 AUD per board, paid in full at preorder. Cancel any time before yours ships for a full refund.
When does it ship?
Australia Q4 2026, shipping included. Everywhere else within 12 months of the Australian release, plus $35.00 shipping.
Will it work with my board?
It is a standard 0.1" pitch breadboard, so anything you would normally plug in works: microcontrollers, dev boards, sensors, jumper wires. Low-voltage prototyping, not mains.
What happens to my circuit data?
It streams over USB-C to your own machine and into the agent you choose. The radio side is receive-only: Crouton listens, it never transmits.

Building electronics just got a whole lot easier.

Breadboards are the foundation of electronics. Crouton brings live hardware context to your AI tools, so you can build, debug, and learn faster.

Building with a Breadboard

Breadboards are where most electronics projects begin. They provide a simple way to connect components and test ideas, making them ideal for experimentation and rapid prototyping.

But while they're great for building, they provide very little visibility into what's actually happening inside the circuit and for most this is where projects fail as problems cannot be solved.

Building with Crouton

Crouton combines the simplicity of a breadboard with live hardware visibility, allowing your AI tools to understand the state of your circuit as you build.

By providing real-time circuit context, Crouton gives AI the information it needs to help diagnose problems, answer questions, and guide you when something isn't working as expected.

Meet Crouton

The breadboard with live circuit visibility.

Same form factor, same hole pitch as the breadboard you already know, with 64-channel sensing, receive-only WiFi and BLE observability, and a built-in MCP server that puts all of it in your agent's context.

BREADBOARD SURFACE

The interface your
hands already know

Plug in your microcontroller, sensors, and jumper wires. Crouton is a standard 0.1” pitch breadboard that also reads the circuit.

INTELLIGENCE LAYER

The sensing layer
your agent talks to

Custom hardware monitors every node in real time, exposing live circuit state through an MCP server that AI agents can understand.

RADIO LAYER

Proof your radio is
actually on air.

Receive-only WiFi and BLE observability shows what your board is transmitting, so radio problems stop being invisible.

Three layers working together so that building electronics becomes easy.

Exploded view of Crouton: breadboard deck, interface layer and sensing board

01 Breadboard Deck

The traditional breadboard surface that you use to build electronics, where you plug in components and jumper wires.

02 Interface Layer

Connects the breadboard to the sensing system. Then acts as the bridge between the circuit and the intelligence underneath.

03 Sensing Board

Captures state and enables visibility. Holds the suite of electronics responsible for understanding what is happening on the board.

Everyone starts on a breadboard. And everyone gets stuck on it too.

Your first circuit or your fiftieth board, everyone runs into the same problem. The breadboard doesn't explain itself. Crouton does. For every kind of builder.

Students

Get unstuck on a lab project in minutes, not hours. See what your circuit is actually doing.

First Time Builders

Turn a weekend project into a working prototype faster, with real-time visibility instead of guessing.

Makers & Hobbyists

Build your first circuit with confidence, without needing an oscilloscope or expensive test gear.

Embedded Engineers

Find faults from live circuit state instead of inference. Debug hardware faster and easier.

Hardware Startups

Reduce bring-up time and accelerate the development process with less team members.

Research Labs

Continuously monitor sensor arrays, prototypes, and rigs with complete visibility into behaviour.
